Safety Norms
OUR COMMITMENT TO STUDENT SAFETY
At Jubilee English High School (JEHS), student safety is our utmost priority. We have implemented a comprehensive set of measures to ensure a secure and supportive environment for all our students. Below are the key safety protocols we rigorously follow:
🧑🏫 Supervised Breaks
- Teacher Presence: During short and lunch breaks, students are always accompanied by female teachers to ensure supervision and safety.
🏫 Campus Vigilance
- Regular Checks: The entire campus is continuously and rigorously monitored to ensure that no child is left alone anywhere inside the premises.
- Separate Facilities: Washrooms are separately allotted for boys and girls, with strict vigilance maintained by support staff. Drivers and attendants have separate washrooms, well away from those of students.
🚌 Transport Safety
- Attendance Registers: Daily attendance registers are maintained for each bus route to ensure that no child is left on the school campus or misses the school bus.
- Parental Presence: Students, especially from pre-primary and lower primary, are not left alone at drop points unless a parent or authorized person is present.
- GPS Monitoring: All school buses are equipped with GPS, monitored by the transport department at all times.
📹 Surveillance & Monitoring
- CCTV Cameras: Cameras are strategically placed across the campus. A dedicated team, headed by the Principal, monitors these cameras to detect and report any suspicious activity.
- Behavioral Training: Support staff, drivers, and security personnel undergo periodic training and counseling on conduct and crisis management.
👨🏫 Staff Conduct
- Guidelines for Male Staff: Male staff are specifically trained to handle queries from students, especially girls, in common areas like school corridors, lounges, waiting areas, or reception, ensuring no isolation.
🧾 Staff Recruitment
- Background Verification: All employees are hired after strict background verification by our specialized HR team, supported by good reference letters, ensuring accountability and responsibility.
🚷 Campus Access
- Restricted Movement: Children are not allowed to leave the school campus during school hours unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Visitor Protocol: Parents and visitors must register their name and purpose of visit at the school security desk before entering the premises and are advised to switch off their mobile phones upon entry.
🗣️ Student Awareness & Counseling
- Regular Counseling: Students, especially girls, receive continuous counseling on various aspects of adolescence and sex education.
- Open Communication: Students are encouraged to have open conversations with their parents and are sensitized to be vigilant about their surroundings. Awareness programs are conducted monthly, encouraging students to voice their opinions.
